The work table…there is still wrapping to be done! The candles are going to be put in every window. We just got them and we’re excited. They flicker. They also turn themselves on when it gets dark. And they turn themselves off when the sun comes out.

One of the wreaths from the barn and basement. Buster and Abby are giving this one a good going over. I need to take a lint brush to it and add some ornaments.

A Santa from Amish Acre’s Christmas Store.

Still MORE shopping….

The old Rexall Drugstore exterior has been preserved for as long as I have been alive.

Looks like you’re ready! How great to live in a town that’s like a step back in time with the drug store and the Amish buggies. You have a collection of Santa Claus’, I have Christmas Trees (all small). I can’t get enough Christmas trees. That dog is hilarious. My dogs don’t get into the presents, but I did have a Jack Russell years ago that peed on all the presents. That was not fun on Christmas morning.
Hi 4urpets,
Oh no, about your Jack Russell!!!!
Abby LOVES toys! I do not know HOW she knew that particular present was a toy, but she did. I bet your Christmas trees are really pretty.

Merry Christmas!
I enjoyed the photos:) since we are having a green xmas
Hi barngoddess,
TODAY our weather is muddy and kind of green and freezing, horribly, biting cold. I have grandchildren here from Mississippi who want to see snow. I TRIED and went out with them this morning to feed horses. (the little girl went to bed early last night for that privilege) We ended up RUNNING to the barn and back. But I did force myself to let my granddaughter throw some hay in despite us having to be outdoors longer than if I did it.
Now the child wants to do sleds….only not enough snow. I’m hoping it will look like it did a couple of days ago by Christmas so the kids can have as much fun as the dogs and horses did.

Strawberry Lane
Your house looks just beautiful ! Love the colors and all the special decorations.
The video was a stitch! Your “pup” did a brilliant job on the package. One would think you had wrapped a box of doggie biscuits.
The photo of the Amish carriage with the black horse is a … favorite!
Have a wonderful Merry Christmas!!
Hi Strawberry Lane,
My son that is in the service is here on leave over Christmas. His wife and kids came up from Mississippi and they are loving the Amish buggies and horses. I ended up wrapping presents for the dogs so Abby can have something to open Christmas morning also. I thought the kids would like it.
This is a special Christmas for us because my son hasn’t seen his kids or wife for months and won’t be seeing them again for months. The look on the oldest daughters face when she was with us in the living room and my son came into the room and the little girl remembered her daddy was home was something I will never forget. She ran up to her daddy and hugged his legs for the longest time. Makes me misty thinking about it.
You have a wonderful Christmas too!!!!!

Bev
I can see WHY you don’t put presents under the tree if you have pets LOL, funny video! Thanks for sharing, the photos look lovely.
Hi Bev,
I don’t know how Abby KNEW which present had a toy. BUT, I ended up getting presents for the dogs for Christmas too. So on Christmas day, Abby WILL have a present to unwrap…all for her.
